We are seeking a Maintenance Crew Member to perform skilled and unskilled manual labor. This role is essential for maintaining our local parks and managing the District’s seasonal summer dams. You will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Crew Leader.

• Employment Period: Seasonal, approximately May 1 – October 31.
• Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, with potential overtime during emergencies. (Possibility for two 20-hour/week positions).
• Wage: Starting at $23/hr (Depending on experience).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Heavy lifting, including work in and out of the Russian River.
• Operating power tools (chainsaws, lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers).
• Facility maintenance, including cleaning restrooms and general repairs.
• Sprinkler and irrigation system maintenance.
• Hauling debris and garbage.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be physically capable of heavy manual labor and lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Primary work site is outdoors and in the river, often in varying weather conditions.
• Dam workers must be able to swim.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, current MVR report, and proof of automobile insurance.
• Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Previous training or experience in grounds maintenance is preferred.
