Carl Nicolari joined the RRRPD Board in 2025 after years as a summer visitor to the River, where he learned to appreciate this area’s amazing recreational resources. He previously served on the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission in Pacifica, CA before moving with his family permanently to Guerneville in 2023. He currently volunteers with Stewards of the Redwoods, LandPaths, and Russian River Rotary. His vision is to leverage his experience as a Program Manager to expand what the RRRPD can offer, including channeling our community’s energy to empower new programs (for example, for youth, seniors, river safety, adventure camps, fun runs, and guided hikes – activities that are affordable, fun and impactful!)
