My connection to Guerneville began in 1968 when my grandparents first moved here, marking the start of countless summers spent along the Russian River. After welcoming my three sons, I had the opportunity to purchase the family property, moving permanently to Guerneville in the early 2000s to raise my family. Watching my children grow up playing in the river and enjoying local parks reinforced my deep appreciation for this community.
I grew up in the building trades—my father was an owner-builder, and my stepfather worked in the construction industry. This early exposure sparked my passion for building, leading me to become a general contractor in 1995. I now have over 50 years of experience in the industry, though if you count the treehouses of my youth, it's even longer! Additionally, I operate a business specializing in constructing and installing docks along the Russian River, which keeps me closely connected to the water I love.
Joining the Russian River Recreation and Park District Board has been a longtime aspiration. Determined to contribute positively, I attended board meetings for many months before being appointed, demonstrating my commitment and eagerness to serve this wonderful community. The skill set that I bring to the board includes my extensive knowledge of construction, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in eliminating hurdles to increase productivity
